MARINADE by DOPE LEMON
This project was all about incorporating a handmade element into the redesign of an album cover.
I chose one of my favourite songs, Marinade, by Dope Lemon, which tells the story of a little girl and the innocent yet slightly creepy tall tales she tells - for example, her confession to burning down the old house in the town. Taking inspiration from this tale, I decided to paint a matchbox in a naive, childlike style to convey this sense of something being both charming and eerie at once.
